Dreaming of Spring? Us too. It is currently eleven degrees outside (and that's WARMER than yesterday). The cold weather might have you feeling restless. If you're looking for a project and want to prep for the warmer weather ahead we have some winter gardening tasks for you.

    • Take stock of your gardening tools and accessories and pick up the supplies you are missing. Clean your tools to protect them from rust. We love the Camellia oil tool cleaner. It is made from the seeds of Camellia oleifera (same family as Camellia and tea) and is the traditional Japanese choice for protecting tools from rust: use it when cleaning, and as a regular protective coating.
    • Start your winter seeds! This sustainable eco planter is a great choice for growing herbs and starting plants that will eventually live outside. Put on a podcast or your favorite album and plan what will live in your garden. Need a podcast recommendation? A good friend turned me on to Normal Gossip, that delivers "juicy, strange, funny, and utterly banal gossip about people you’ll never know and never meet".
    • Read a book or magazine about gardening and flowers. Light a candle that reminds you of a greenhouse or a garden and dare to dream about those seventy degree days.

    • Care for your indoor plants. Check to see if they've outgrown their pot or need a soil refresh. We have a great kit that provides all you need to care for your indoor plant babies. The three step kit contains the Aqua Leaf Cleanser, House Plant Elixir, and House Plant Spritz combine to create the perfect houseplant maintenance kit.
